a Pole who interprets for a man who travels to Poland often who was in the same WW2 prison camp as my father, Stalag Luft 4
a local history official in Pultusk (a bit north of Warsaw), the ancestral home of my paternal grandmother's parents
a friend of my brother and sister-in-law who works with the Lauder Foundation in Krakow
